An all-terrain vehicle (ATV) may be driven on a public road in Ontario:

Ontario allows ATVs on some public roads where a municipal by-law permits. Registration, lights, helmets, seat belts (if equipped), and insurance are all required. Roads without a by-law prohibit ATV use.
