Show Answer & Explanation
Correct Answer: B. Legal upper speed limit of 80 km/h under ideal conditions
Speed limits in PEI are posted in kilometres per hour; exceeding a posted maximum is a Highway Traffic Act offence.
Why the other answers are wrong
- A.Recommended speed of 80 km/h under good conditionsMAXIMUM is not a suggestion — it is an enforceable legal ceiling, not an advisory.
- C.Minimum allowed speed is 80 km/hMAXIMUM sets an upper limit, not a lower one; MINIMUM signs exist separately.
- D.Speed in miles per hour, not kilometresCanada posts all road signs in metric km/h; no mph signs appear on PEI roads.
