Parking
In Quebec, parking is prohibited within how many metres before a stop sign or traffic signal?
Show Answer & Explanation
Correct Answer: B. 5 metres
A 5-metre buffer before a stop sign or traffic signal preserves visibility of the sign for approaching drivers. Parking closer hides the regulation and is a frequent cause of intersection collisions.
Why the other answers are wrong
- A.2 metresTwo metres does not leave the sign clearly visible.
- C.10 metresTen metres goes beyond the requirement — that figure belongs to another rule.
- D.15 metresFifteen metres is the level-crossing distance in some provinces, not the stop-sign one.
