Privacy Policy
Version 1.0.26.426 · Last updated April 26, 2026
1. About
MyDL.ca ("MyDL.ca", "we", "us", "our") is a free educational website operated by an individual based in Canada. This Policy describes the operator's handling of personal information of users of https://mydl.ca and any related services (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you accept this Policy. If you do not accept it, do not use the Service.
2. Information Collected
The Service collects: account information from your sign-in provider; your activity on the Service; and approximate location (country, province, city) from Cloudflare.
3. Use
This information is used to operate the Service, including authentication, saving progress, gating features, preventing fraud and abuse, and producing aggregated analytics.
4. Service Providers
The Service uses third-party providers, organized by purpose:
- Authentication / sign-in: currently Google LLC. Other identity providers (such as Apple Inc., Meta Platforms, Inc., or Microsoft Corporation) may be enabled from time to time.
- Hosting, content delivery, and infrastructure: Cloudflare, Inc.
The list of providers may change as the Service evolves. The operator may disclose information where compelled by valid legal process.
5. Cookies and Storage
The Service uses browser localStorage and first-party cookies that are strictly necessary for the Service to function (including a session refresh-token cookie set after sign-in and a province-preference cookie).
6. Retention
Personal information is retained for as long as the operator considers necessary to operate the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
7. Cross-Border Transfer
The service providers identified in section 4 may process personal information on infrastructure located outside Canada, including in the United States and other jurisdictions. By using the Service you acknowledge and consent to such cross-border processing. Foreign authorities may, in some circumstances, lawfully compel disclosure of data held in their jurisdictions.
8. Security
Reasonable safeguards are used to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for safeguarding the credentials and devices used to access the Service.
9. Minors
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that either: (a) you are of legal age and have full legal capacity to consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information described in this Policy in your jurisdiction; or (b) you are a minor whose parent or legal guardian has reviewed and consented to this Policy on your behalf and assumes responsibility for your use of the Service. The operator does not verify, and has no obligation to verify, any user's age, identity, capacity, or guardian consent.
10. Changes
This Policy may be modified at any time without prior notice. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. If you do not accept a change, stop using the Service.
